Andrew Senior has been appointed to a new expert group, created by UNESCO and the European Union, to support the development of cultural policy in a range of emerging economies. The UNESCO programme, funded by the EU, focusses on working with 70 'beneficiary' countries, all of which are signatories to the 2005 UN Convention on cultural diversity. The experts will provide technical assistance and help to shape policy and interventions that, when implemented, will ensure that the objectives of the Convention are met by strengthening the governance of culture...
